Objective:
The existing site had dense content, inconsistent text and button sizing, mobile layout issues, and an overall flow that made information difficult to digest. The original homepage video also had playback issues and didn’t fully reflect Kerri’s vision, although maintaining video was important to her. My goal was to improve readability and navigation, create greater visual consistency across devices, and find a way to incorporate video without compromising text legibility or performance.
Results:
Working directly with Kerri throughout the redesign, I translated the feeling she wanted her practice to convey into a calmer, warmer, and more cohesive digital experience. I reorganized and simplified content, standardized typography and buttons, resolved mobile layout issues, and created clearer pathways toward booking a consultation. For the homepage, I replaced the problematic video treatment with a new solution that preserved the movement Kerri wanted while using a subtle overlay to keep the text clear and readable. The final Squarespace site balances her creative vision with usability, responsiveness, and the platform’s technical constraints.
